Reserva De Familia Santa Carolina
£15.99 – £191.88
A deep, rich and complex wine with dark plum fruit flavours, cassis, currants and hints of spice on the long finish. The grapes were grown near the Cachapoal River, from two different vineyards, Los Lingues close to the Andes Range, and Pichidegua, closer to the Coastal Range. Cachapoal Valley receives a large amount of rain during the short winter months and enjoys a long summer of cool breezes and sunshine. Temperatures vary greatly from warm days to cool nights which allow the grapes to ripen slowly and steadily to maintain natural acidity and develop complex flavours. The grapes were handpicked and the wine was aged in French oak for 15 months and then aged a further 6 months in bottle before release. This wine suits juicy steak, spicy sauces particularly curries and mature cheeses.
