Tasting Notes:Founded in 1989, Terras Gauda has established itself as one of the leading winemakers in DO Rías Baixas in northwest Spain. Based in the sub-region of O Rosal, they specialise in the Albariño grape. Grown in cool, high-altitude vineyards, fermented and matured in stainless steel, that wine shows elegant notes of fresh citrus and tropical fruits coming along with peachy aromas. The mouth is round with a refreshing acidity that makes it perfect to go with seafood!

Tasting Notes:Made from 86% Corvina and 15% Rondinella, this age-old style of wine is made from air dried and concentrated grapes and is the top wine of the Valpolicella region, often high in alcohol with concentration and a hint of sweetness. The wine has an aroma of dried cherries, spiced Autumn compote and a slightly savoury cherry note on the palate.

Tasting Notes:Named after Project Crimson, a Charitable Conservation Trust focused on saving two red-flowering native trees, sponsored by Ata Rangi. This Pinot Noir is made from younger parcels of vines from various plots on the Marlborough Terrace. It is a complex wine with vibrant acidity; the nose is full of mulberry and bramble fruits with hints of spice; the palate long with ripe red fruits and fine grained tannins.

Tasting Notes:This vineyard is nestled on the edge of the Ashdown forest. All wines are hand crafted. This wine is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Pinot Meunier . The wine is a very fruit forward style with delicate aromas of rose petals , wild strawberry and ripe raspberry on the nose . This is underpinned by redcurrant , nectarine and a creamy finish . Well balanced with good structure and a longpersistent finish. This wine spent 28 months on its lees. An excellent summer aperitif.

Tasting Notes:Château Larose Trintaudon has long been a highly regarded Medoc estate, a neighbour to Château Latour situated on the border of Pauillac and Saint Julien appellations , and having some of the oldest and finest soils in the Medoc. It frequently produces highly enjoyable wines and this 2014 has a lovely freshness typical of the vintage . A blend of 51% Merlot , 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, with a little Petit Verdot as well as the wine being aged for 12 months in barrel. Fresh red berry and dark cherry aromas followed by a medium bodied palate of plum , cassis , cinnamon and dried fruits with fine and precise tannins and balanced refreshing acidity. Would benefit from decanting.

Bierzo Galicia, Red Wines
Tasting Notes:Vines and brown bears in the beautiful Bierzo mountains! The estate is very much committed to the protection of the endangered species; the discovery of four bear footprints in the vineyard inspired the name of this wine – Cuatro Pasos or Four Steps. Mencia was often mistaken to be a Cabernet Franc cousin, but recent studies have proven that it is a different grape, indigenous from Galicia! This wine has some intense fruity and floral notes, along with smoky aromas from the ageing oak. Grilled meat makes the perfect pairing for this wine.

Tasting Notes:This beautifully balanced Barolo is made by Aldo and Giuseppe Vaira from fruit harvested from 3 separate vineyards in the communes of Barolo. The wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo, all farmed organically. The nose has elegant notes of rose petals, red currants and cherries, and floral notes of liquorice and lavender. The palate is full and powerful laden with ripe tannins and elegant acidity.

Tasting Notes:Located in the heart of Chavignol, the Domaine Henri Bourgeois Winery is a 10 generations family estate, running 72 hectares of organic vines around Sancerre. They have an emphasis on biodynamic viticulture, low intervention and old cask ageing on fine lees, with the winery cellars designed in such a way that they help the wines to age well and with full respect to the natural conditions. Tasting Notes:This stunning Yarra Valley vineyard changed hands in 2016 being brought by the Brown Brothers who straight away decided to build a new winery in Healesville just across from Giant Steps , they also resigned all grape contracts previously used, continuing the cool climate style previously made. The grapes for this wine were sourced from 3 estate vineyards, Sexton, Tarraford and Applejack . All this fruit is very expressive, all was hand picked , whole bunch pressed , the free run juice was fermented on its solids using the indigenous yeast sin new and seasoned oak barrels , lees stirred monthly . No malolactic fermentation used . The nose is full of fresh pear and lemon with hints of white flowers , the palate is full of poached apple and nuts , crisp acidity and a stoned fruit core.

Colchagua Valley, Red Wines
Tasting Notes:This stunning red Chilean wines comes from the awesome Colchagua valley winery Montes, headed by the inspirational winemaker Aurelio Montes who pushes the boundaries with varieties as well as vineyards. With much research and investigation, all vineyards are managed under a sustainable dry farming regime, which has cut water use by 65% and resulted in more fruitiness and aromatic expression. This wine is 90% Carmenere and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby red in colour with violet hues, an intense aroma of blackberries, plums and hints of bell pepper. There are hints of mint, mocha and sweet spice . Also toasty notes as some of the final blend was matured in French oak. Full bodied wine, smooth and velvety tannins and a long and vibrant finish.

Marlborough, White Wines
Tasting Notes:The grapes for this wine fall under two criteria , firstly that they are managed and grown by Mt Difficulty viticulturist 's , and secondly that they are grown in one the Bannockburn vineyards south of the Kawasaki river in the southern Cromwell basin. The 2019 vintage had enormous weather variances. The season started warm , then a cold snap in November including some snow . Weather during flowering was patchy but overall successful. An oddity of the season was cool days and warm nights , early rains all the way through to January. Then cool but dry conditions through to April. The grapes were harvested on May 2_3rd which is really late , pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in cooled stainless steel vats , rested on its lees for 4 months being stirred weekly. The wines has aromas of bell pepper , gooseberry with a hint of passion fruit . Gooseberry on the palate followed by a textured mid palate , refreshing acidity with passion fruit on the finish .

Tasting Notes:Quincy was the first French white wine to be given AOC status in1936. Jean and his wife Chantal Tatum farm 20 hectares in Quincy making Classic crystalline Sauvignon Blanc planted on Kimmeridgian limestone giving purity and minerality . The grapes come from 4 parcels of vines in the heart of Quincy on the banks of the River Cher. 90% of the vines were planted in the 60's. All parcels have different soils . 2019 was a drought vintage. So reduced in size due to three heatwaves. Harvest started in first week of September. The wine is bright yellow with lively citrus aroma, Granny Smith apple and fresh cut grass and subtle floral notes . A refreshing palate with lemon intensity, and bright acids and a long and lingering finish.
