    Founded in 1989, Terras Gauda has established itself as one of the leading winemakers in DO Rías Baixas in northwest Spain. Based in the sub-region of O Rosal, they specialise in the Albariño grape.     The Allegrini Estate covers 120 hectares of Vineyards all in the heart of Valpolicella Classico owned for many generations . Franco looks after the vineyards , and Marilisa looks after sales and marketing . in 2007 they left the Classico status to bottle there wine with steel in closure to avoid cork taint and oxidation. The wine is made from 70% Corvina and 30% Rondinella . Ruby red in colour, very youthful, a very fragrant fruity nose filled with dark Cherries, aromatic herbs and pepper . Very fruity and lively on the palate, delicate and full of finesse .

The wine is a very fruit forward style with delicate aromas of rose petals , wild strawberry and ripe raspberry on the nose . This is underpinned by redcurrant , nectarine and a creamy finish . Well balanced with good structure and a longpersistent finish. This wine spent 28 months on its lees. An excellent summer aperitif.

    The Carmignano region of the Chianti area was one of the earliest areas of wine production to be regulated, where Cabernet Sauvignon was one of the first wines to be permitted, gaining DOC status in 1975 and DOCG in 1990.     Chambers was founded in 1858, and today Stephen is the 6th generation to age wine at the Rosewood winery . The whole business is dedicated to the production of venerable aged dessert wines. Rutherglen is in North Eastern Victoria and came to be during the goldrush of the 1850's. A wine industry was born around these hot and arid conditions perfect for the production of rich dessert wines produced from over ripe grapes . This wine is produced from 100% Muscat a Petit Grains Rouge late harvested, and after fermentation the wine is fortified and matured in old oak casks of various sizes changing maturation by its volume for many years . Each vintage is matured separately. Then the final wine is a blend of many wines to achieve the house style. Tawny red in colour , aromas of rose petals , raisins and dried fruit. This carries through to the palate, rich and unctuous with a fresh acid finish .

    The name Vaudieu comes from an old phrase meaning Valley of God. This 18th Century estate has been in the Brechet family for 50 years, consisting of 70 hectares of vines aged between 40-70 years. The wine is a blend of 55% Grenache, 33% Syrah, 7% Cinsault and 5% Mourvèdre. It is dark ruby red in colour and has an intense nose of raspberries and cherries with herbal notes of liquorice and black pepper. The palate is loaded with dark red fruits and supple fine grained tannin with hints of graphite.

    Château Larose Trintaudon has long been a highly regarded Medoc estate, a neighbour to Château Latour situated on the border of Pauillac and Saint Julien appellations , and having some of the oldest and finest soils in the Medoc. It frequently produces highly enjoyable wines and this 2014 has a lovely freshness typical of the vintage . A blend of 51% Merlot , 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, with a little Petit Verdot as well as the wine being aged for 12 months in barrel. Fresh red berry and dark cherry aromas followed by a medium bodied palate of plum , cassis , cinnamon and dried fruits with fine and precise tannins and balanced refreshing acidity. Would benefit from decanting.
