Stopped by quickly for some bike ride refreshments. Friendly reception and chilled atmosphere, despite our lycra! Seemed to have a very wide selection of wine and gin. Would be keen to go back for a taste some time!
My wife and I came here last night, had a fantastic time, the chap who looked after us was excellent, helpful and gave us an overview of the wines we drank, Cheese was superb lovely atmosphere and setting, will be coming back, Andy
Had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Grape Variety and well worth the journey down from central London. Matt is an exceptional host and the depths of his wine knowledge and background is amazing (born, raised and professionally trained in Burgundy). Truly special to have a world-class wine program operating out of a small village shop! Would highly recommend a visit by anyone in the area who is serious about wine and wine education!
Love this place, so glad I found it, have been in for a coffee with the children as well as a glass of wine with friends in the evening! If you fancy a friendly atmosphere then it’s defo Worth a visit!
Really lovely venue, great service, and fantastic selection of wine and Gin! I will definitely be returning very soon. I do have one piece of constructive criticism, the charcuterie board was really just a meat board. It needs less meat, maybe a tapenade, chutney, flat breads, olives, pate etc along those kind of lines. I would rather pay £15-20 for that rather than £11 for a plate of meat. We also ordered pate and bread for £5 which was lovely but it was a huge portion and there was a lot left over it would have been perfect addition on a charcuterie board. I saw a few people who had the cheese board and that looked amazing!
